hi lads need some parts for my t4 2000 model the 1.9 t4 i need brake pads volvo said around £50 and upper control arms on the rear both sides they said £ 101 each any idears my bro works for fast parts and he can get pads for £20 + vat which aint bad but cant get the control arms

EDIT - As a footnote, part of the reason i put that diagram up is becasue of the fact that I would be more inclined to believe it is actually number 13 in that diagram that you require, from my experience, simply becuase the number 13 is a fairly common part to go, as oppose to number 8.

Judging by the £101 Loopy was quoted originally, I'd say that it was '8' in the diagram that he needs.
In all fairness to you Simon, I'd say that you are a great asset to this site.

ta rufe that helpfull cheers it the upper control arm the mot garage said the bush had gone the one on the iner side of the arch away from wheels by the look of the bar you can just buy the bush no 9 or does that come with the upper control arm ie do you get the arm and both bushes would be great if you can tell me ill go back to the mot garage to cheack if it just that bush or both ill let you now tomorrow cheers rufe and my cars fixed yyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssss bumper repaired

unfortunately that bush (number 9) does not come seperately, meaning you have to buy the complete link that I quoted you for above (number 8 in diagram) if you want that one. So yes, to answer your question, when you buy that arm you get the both bushes included.

cheers rufe i just phoned eurocarparts and the upper conrol arm are £53 +vat each i need 2 and look a . hahahaha and the brake pads are £23 +vat for the front cheers

slightly different subject here, but you should think yourself lucky too.... the number of people i have upset in the past when they ask for number 20, only to be told volvo have modified them and because their car is an earlier one they need to buy number 19 as the modified bushes wont fit the original arms, and that bush has just become a £200+ part, per side. add to that the fact that those bushes were a fairly common part to fail and you can see why i was not too popular lol.

(for the record i do know a way around that now - and thats to go to mitsubishi for them, as they still do the old type )
